Revive Your work, O God,
Disturb this sleep of death;
Provoke the smold’ring embers now
By Your almighty breath.
Revive Your work, O Lord,
Your mighty arm reveal;
Speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
And make Your people hear.
Revive Your work, O God,
Advance the word of Christ
And, by Your Holy Spirit’s power,
Cause saving faith to rise.
Revive Your work, O Lord,
Cause calloused hearts to yearn;
And, hungering for the Bread of Life,
To Life, the dead would come.
Revive Your work, O God,
Send us, Your people, out
To share Your Word in every land
With faith and love and power.
Revive Your work, O Lord,
O help Your church to see
The harvest ripe and plentiful;
For You have blessed the seed.
Revive Your work, O God,
Let hearts once dead rejoice;
Let songs and prayers in fullness flow
In praise to You, our Lord.
Revive Your work, O Lord,
And give refreshing showers;
The glory shall be all Your own,
The blessing, Lord, be ours.

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.
You fearful saints, fresh courage take:
The clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.
O, bless the Lord with heart and soul,
Let all within me sing
And trust the wisdom of my God,
My Father, Lord, my King.
With deepest wisdom, highest love,
And never failing skill
He masterminds His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.
His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.
O, bless the Lord with heart and soul,
Let all within me sing
And trust the purpose of my God,
My Father, Lord, my King.
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.
O, bless the Lord with heart and soul,
Let all within me sing
And trust the goodness of my God,
My Father, Lord, my King.
Behind a frowning providence
God hides His smiling face.

Overwhelmed By You
04:09

How beautiful in the heavens are Your works, O God.
How marvelous Your glory in the skies.
In every star that twinkles I’m amazed at who You are,
By Your power on display before my eyes.
I consider then, Your greatness, and how wise You must be
To uphold all things and order their time.
In every corner of the cosmos You are great and mighty
It’s so obvious that You are Divine.
And I’m overwhelmed by You.
Words cannot express it, my heart can’t contain it.
I’m so overwhelmed by You.
Hmmm. Hmmm.
Then I open up the scriptures You have given and I read
Of Your love for all that You have made,
How He, who formed the heavens walked the earth just like me;
Into our fallen world You came to save.
And I consider then, Your kindness, Your answer to our need,
Of Your love for sinners such as I.
And the stars pale in greatness to the mercy that I see
When on the cross, for me, Jesus died.
And I’m overwhelmed by love.
Words cannot express it, my heart can’t contain it.
I’m so overwhelmed by love.
Hmmm. Hmmm.
I see how the story ends, You come to take us home.
And there we dwell forever with You.
How unspeakable the glory of those days yet to come.
How more brilliant then, the stars will shine when You make all things new.
And I’m overwhelmed with hope.
Words cannot express it, my heart can’t contain it.
I’m so overwhelmed with hope.
Hmmm. Hmmm.
I’m overwhelmed by You.
Words cannot express it. My heart is bursting.
I’m so overwhelmed by You.
Hmmm. Hmmm.
